Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: April 6, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the TabH2O service, including APIs, dashboards, and related functionality (the "Service"), provided by H2O.ai, Inc. ("H2O.ai," "we," "our," or "us").

You agree not to use the Service in any manner that violates this AUP or applicable law.

1. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

(a) Illegal or Harmful Activity

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation;
  • Engage in fraud, deception, or unlawful activity;
  • Promote or facilitate violence, harassment, or harmful conduct.

(b) Security Violations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code;
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks, probing, or scanning of systems;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Service.

(c) Abuse of the Service

  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls;
  • Use automated means (e.g., bots, scripts) to overload, disrupt, or abuse the Service beyond permitted limits;
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service.

(d) Intellectual Property Violations

  • Upload, submit, or process content that infringes or misappropriates intellectual property or proprietary rights;
  • Use the Service in a manner that violates contractual, confidentiality, or other legal obligations.

(e) Unauthorized Commercial or Competitive Use

  • Resell, sublicense, distribute, or provide access to the Service or API to third parties without authorization;
  • Use the Service to build, train, develop, or improve competing products or services;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract underlying models, algorithms, or data.

(f) Misuse of Outputs

  • Use outputs from the Service for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes;
  • Represent outputs as verified, guaranteed, or authoritative without appropriate validation;
  • Rely on outputs for critical decisions (including legal, financial, medical, or safety-related decisions) without appropriate human review and oversight.

(g) Sensitive or Restricted Data

  • Submit personal data, confidential information, or other sensitive data unless you have the legal right to do so and have implemented appropriate safeguards;
  • Submit data subject to export controls, sanctions, or other regulatory restrictions in violation of applicable law.

2. API Key Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and credentials.
  • You must not share API keys or permit unauthorized access to the Service.
  • You are responsible for all activity conducted using your account or API keys.

3. Monitoring and Enforcement

H2O.ai may monitor use of the Service to detect violations of this AUP, including through automated systems and review of usage metadata.

H2O.ai may take any action it reasonably deems necessary to enforce this AUP, including:

  • Suspension or termination of access to the Service;
  • Revocation of API keys;
  • Limiting, throttling, or restricting usage;
  • Blocking requests or access;
  • Reporting unlawful activity to appropriate authorities.

4. Cooperation and Investigation

You agree to cooperate with H2O.ai in investigating suspected violations of this AUP and to provide reasonable assistance as requested.

5. Relationship to Terms of Service

This AUP forms part of, and is incorporated into, the Terms of Service governing your use of the Service. Violations of this AUP constitute a breach of the Terms of Service.

6. Changes to this Policy

H2O.ai may update this AUP from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on the Service, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
